•Gene was interviewed lately on the TV show Working Titles,
a series about Bay Area filmmakers. He was the first animator
on the show.
•Gene recently completed animated opening titles and closing credits for the feature film “The Don of 42nd Street”. It’s a live action gangster comedy. The producer and star, John Hoyt (The Basketball Diaries) wanted titles like the old Pink Panther movies. He also hired Gene to design and paint the movie poster. Gene had lots of fun on the titles coming up with slapstick ways for gangsters to get whacked.
•Gene will be a guest on the Shokus radio show TV Confidential Monday May 31, talking about working on the Gumby TV series. You can call in with questions. If you miss the show, you can still hear it by visiting their archives.
